More Than Red Ink

What I do:

Check for grammar mistakes such as tense, prepositions, articles, and sentence structure.
Check for spelling mistakes, as well as as wording, phrasing, abbreviations, capitalization, and mistyped words.
Check for punctuation errors such as misplaced comma and periods.
Check for structure issues, such as omitted words, paragraphing, organization, flow. APA/MLA formatting checked for additional fee.
Check for awkward or confusing sections.
Communicate with you, via phone or internet, so that I can do my best to stay true to your writing and intentions while polishing up your writing!
Give you the option of 1) having the edits marked but not implemented or 2) automatically implementing all or most of the edits.
Specialized sermon services, upon request: “from-the-pew” perspective. Does it feel too harsh or “preachy”? Are there any sections that might be unclear and confusing to a layperson? I will share my “from-the-pew” comments! Please note that you can also have a “from-the-pew” review of your sermon without also having it edited.

What I don't do:

Write your paper for you.
Edit it so much (due to poor content) that I've practically written it for you.
Edit papers for statistics classes.
Edit papers for specialized subjects with which I am not at all familiar (e.g. advanced math or science).
Doctrinal review on sermons.
Guarantee an A or flawless editing. I'm not a professional!
Editing for high school students.

I had Donna Y review one of my APA style Papers for a Psychology/ Child Development class. I thought as well as my husband that donna did a great job with my paper. She was able to do a positive yet true critic of my paper. She was very quick with her response time and i could tell that she really wanted my paper to get the best grade it could. As well as helped me achieve a wonderful grade.I have a learning disability that makes the organization of my papers as well as my spelling and sentence structure not so great. However, she was able to make my sentence structure a lot better. Which overall makes a psychology paper, or any paper 100% better. I would defiantly suggest and recommend Donna to do any type of paper or essay reviews. I was very happy and pleased with her review of my paper!!!

Transcription of existing hard copy documents, publications, notes, and files into digital file formats such as MS Word. Fee variable, depending on document. If the document needs editing after transcription, you may request that service for an additional variable fee.

The “Fine Print”

There is a 20% discount for students of Concordia Seminary (LCMS) and ordained LCMS pastors, as well as their spouses. Seminary students and ordained ministers can also purchase a monthly paper or sermon editing package, at a discounted rate negotiated based on their typical page length. PayPal accepted as payment. (Note: I will send you an invoice through Paypal, which does not require you to have a Paypal account. You can pay securely online using a credit card or bank account.)

Standard 12-point fonts, such as Times New Roman or Calibri, should be used. Page length assumes double-spacing. Documents must be submitted by 6 p.m. CT. Anything submitted after that counts as being submitted the following day. (Example: If you need your document back on Friday, you need to submit it by 6 p.m. Tuesday to qualify for the “3-5 days” price.) Please indicate the date and time that you need your document e-mailed back to you (e.g. by noon on Friday the 27^th). Submit your document by e-mailing as an attachment to: morethanredink@gmail.com.

Please note that my services will only help if you have put decent effort into your content. If your content is poor, adding commas and correcting spelling will only help a bit! After I review your submission, if it appears that the edits would be too extensive, I will decline to edit that piece. I will not write your paper or sermon for you, but I would love to improve and polish what you write. Also, the more pieces I edit for you, the better my edits will get, as a long-standing editing relationship will allow me to become familiar with your writing style and intentions.
